Surnames:CHAFFEE TRYONS
Adelia Chaffee is listed on page 643 of the 1850 census of Wyandot Co, in Upper Sandusky. All I have is the index, but by displaying all the entries for pages 642-4, I sometimes find possible connecting names. There were no Chaffee's listed, or Tryons, which would be her maiden name if she is my gr gr grandmother. However, I did find 2 familiar names - E.B. Morrison on page 643 and Elias Osborn on 642. These names are connected to the Tryon family in MI, where my gr gr grandparents were married. What she would be doing by herself in OH is beyond me, and might explain why I can't connect her any farther back.

I am looking for information regarding Alonzo N. SAWYER, born around 1836. He is listed in the census records for 1870 in Nevada, Antrim Twp., Wyandot Co., Ohio. His wife was Harriet M. with a child names Charles E., 10 years old. I am researching husbands family history. His great grandparents, John and Mary Rossman SAWYER(SAUER) arrived in the USA around 1835 with one son that we know of, Peter, who was born in 1832 in Germany. Peter is listed on the census at that same time with wife, Catharine and children. I am wondering if Alonzo could be Peter's brother.
