Adelia Chaffee is listed on page 643 of the 1850 census of Wyandot Co, in Upper Sandusky. All I have is the index, but by displaying all the entries for pages 642-4, I sometimes find possible connecting names. There were no Chaffee's listed, or Tryons, which would be her maiden name if she is my gr gr grandmother. However, I did find 2 familiar names - E.B. Morrison on page 643 and Elias Osborn on 642. These names are connected to the Tryon family in MI, where my gr gr grandparents were married. What she would be doing by herself in OH is beyond me, and might explain why I can't connect her any farther back.

William, Laban and Philip PERDEW/PURDUE show up on the 1840 Crawford co., census then in 1850 Philip is on the 1850 Wyandot co.,census in Eden twp. I believe that William Laban and Philip came from PA and that William may be Philip's father. Philip was born 1805 PA and married Amy Madison born 1814 MD. they had 6 children that I know of: Jackson, Horace, Emaly, Mary, Nancy and Rufus Homer. Can anyone tell me if there is a will or death record index these people might be on? The children were born before birth records were kept. I don't know what religion they may have been. I am trying to connect Homer as Philip's son as Homer's parents were a Philip and Amy Perdew from PA and Ohio. I also believe and would like to prove that William is Philip's father. Nancy Plowman
